The Consulate General of Nigeria in Johannesburg, South Africa, has called for calm over reports of recent violent killings of Nigerian nationals in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province.
The Consulate in a statement on Monday, October17, 2022, said the killings happened in the last three weeks.
“The Consulate General is saddened by these developments and hereby extends its heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims,” the statement read.
“To this end, it’s advised that Nigerians should endeavour to avoid potential flash points and immediately report any threat to life and property to the Police,”
