Manchester City Star, Benjamin Mendy Told Woman to Strip Before He Raped Her During Covid-Era Party at His £4Million Mansion – Court Hears

Manchester City star, Benjamin Mendy told a woman to str!p naked before he r3ped her during a Covid-era party at his £4million mansion, a court heard.

The woman, who was aged 24 at the time, was allegedly assaulted by Mendy at his mansion in October 2020 while he boasted about bedding ‘10,000 women’.

The French international, 28, is on trial at Chester Crown Court and denies a charge of rape and one of attempted r3pe relating to another woman.

The court heard that Mendy locked the door using a fingerprint system, took away the woman’s phone, and said: ‘I promise you I won’t touch you. want to see your t***. Your t*** are so big.’

In a police interview played to the jury, the woman told how she went to Mendy’s mansion in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire, with a group of friends after meeting him and a friend at a bar in nearby Alderley Edge.

When they arrived, Mendy took her phone from her, accusing her of taking photos inside, and the court previously heard how others were ordered to hand over their phones to ‘protect’ the footballer from unwanted social media intrusion and ‘difficulties’ due to him breaking Covid rules.

The woman said Mendy told her this had led to him being fined £200,000.

She said Mendy told her he wanted to check her phone upstairs and she followed him into a bedroom as he looked at ‘private’ photos of her.

The jury heard how the player used a ‘fingerprint’ locking system to open and lock the bedroom door after the woman said she wanted her phone back and wanted to leave because he was being ‘rude’.

The woman said she remembered seeing blue and gold Versace pillows on the bed and told Mendy: ‘Listen, I want my phone. I don’t know what you think is going on but I don’t want to have sex with you I just want to go now.’

He replied: ‘Well, the doors locked anyway.’

The woman said her sister was waiting for her downstairs but then Mendy told her: ‘If you just take your clothes off I just want have a look at you.

‘I promise you I won’t touch you. I just want to see what you look like. I want to see your body.

‘I want to see your t***. Your t*** are so big.’

The woman said she insisted she wanted to leave, but Mendy refused to let her so she took off her body suit and jeans, leaving her wearing only a pink thong.

The woman continued to insist she wanted to leave but he threw her phone on the bed and as she went to get it he walked around behind her and pushed her on it so she was on ‘all fours’.

She again told him ‘No’ and that she didn’t want to have sex with him but Mendy got hold of her and carried on, she said.

The woman said she remembers thinking: ‘How am I going to get out of this room?’ and she tried to ‘struggle’ free.

It only stopped after she managed to sit up at the end of the bed, she said.

Mendy then told her she was ‘too shy’, adding: ‘It’s fine. I’ve had sex with 10,000 women.’

He also told her: ‘Don’t tell anyone and you can come here every night.’

But the woman quickly dressed and left the house and later told friends and family what had happened to her.

The jury previously heard Mendy told police he had ‘consensual’ sexual activity with the woman, including oral sex, but he stopped when he knew she didn’t want to do anything else.

They’ve been told he was cleared of raping the woman twice after he was acquitted in January of a string of sex attacks.

He was found not guilty of six rapes and one sexual assault against four women. But the jury in his previous trial could not reach verdicts on the two outstanding charges he still faces.

The trial – expected to last up to three weeks – continues.
