Musician and media personality Shaun Stylist aims to break records and dominate the amapiano charts after penning a global deal with Warner Music Africa (WMA) “to take his music career to new heights”.
Stylist, who shot to fame as a fashion stylist, currently has two songs under his belt – Oskae Beya Fatshe and Uyabizwa. With the signing of the new deal, he now has his sights on “local and global domination”.
“My aim is to break records and dominate the charts,” he said. “I want this moment to be an inspiration to anyone out there to dream big.”
He adds that deals of this nature are important as they give a platform to new kids on the block and allow for the expansion of the amapiano genre.
“I’m very happy to welcome Shaun Stylist to the WMA family and excited to help him bring his vision to life,” artists and repertoire consultant Sebastian Jameson said.
WMA creative lead Garth Brown added that Stylist’s venture into the music industry is “exciting” and shows his versatility and creativity.
“His upcoming music will be such a great moment in the amapiano landscape, not just here at home but globally as well. I’m excited for everyone to hear what Shaun has been creating,” he said.
