The Founder, Governing Board, Grand Jury and entire team of the Golden Movie Awards Africa wishes to express their heartfelt condolences to the Takyi Annan family following the loss of their son, Mr. Rex-Anthony Takyi Annan, Founder and Director of the Accra Film School.
Rex, as he was fondly called, served on the Grand Jury of the GMAA since its inception in 2015, and contributed a lot from his vast experience in Film and creative arts in general. There is no doubt that he will greatly be missed when the Grand Jury meets to review submissions for this year’s edition of the awards.
We do believe however, that even though Rex’s loss has created a vacuum that cannot be filled, the legacy he built and left behind will continue to live and impact lives forever.
We pray the good Lord to strengthen and comfort his family as they go through this difficult moment
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace
