Moshe Ndiki Not Axed From Gomora

TV presenter and actor Moshe Ndiki has not been fired from Mzansi Magic’s award-winning weekday telenovela Gomora.

M-Net confirmed the news to News24 after a controversial blogger reported that Ndiki (who plays Mr Andile Faku) was fired from the telenovela for allegedly bringing its name into disrepute.

“The Faku suspension storyline was in place prior to the fight between Moshe and Musa; thus, it’s completely unrelated,” an M-Net spokesperson said in response to an inquiry. “At no point was it said the ‘suspension’ is permanent.”

Viewers of the popular telenovela were introduced to Ndiki’s character in the 25th episode of the show’s third season in May.

“The storylines in Gomora are constantly evolving. When characters are developed, their journey is unpredictable. This is the case with many if not all telenovelas – that is the essence of this type of storytelling.”
