The second edition of The NGO International Film Festival is now open to receive submissions of films, fiction, and documentaries, focusing on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). International and national organizations, institutions, and movements from all around the world are invited to submit their human interest films through the festival website. Early entry is open until April 8, 2022.
The Festival will have a special focus on life underwater to commemorate the United Nations “International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA 2022). This is a great opportunity to introduce films that accelerate global actions on life underwater, and specifically support the work of the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) which is leading this year’s UN mandate.
This year’s festival comes with an aspiration to break our own record achieved at the first edition which took place in October 2021, attracting more than 1,500 attendees, 115 film submissions from 149 organizations in 4 continents.
In addition, we will also be distributing and screening our 2021 nominated films in 20 (twenty) countries. Screening venues will include universities, art spaces, community centers, conferences, and workshops. We would love to collaborate with some of your organizations to achieve this, and more.
