Scent of Africa, the fine fragrance house created by Ghandour Cosmetics Ltd., celebrated its anniversary of launching the exclusive Eternal Legends Collection inspired by legends in African mythology. This also marks the anniversary of releasing Rakh and Nefee, the first chapter of luxury masculine and feminine fragrance duos in the collection, made in Ghana and signed by renowned international perfumers. The event purposed to celebrate the duo and fraternize with customers and stakeholders were held at Ghana’s largest luxury beauty retailer, Scentopia’s Accra Mall store.
Hosted by an Edma Lawer, the ambiance at the event was one of sophistication and elegance. Invited guests comprising of customers, the media, influencers, staff of Scent of Africa and Scentopia were welcomed to a black and gold Rakh & Nefee themed store and treated to a cake-cutting ceremony and a performance by the famed Ghanaian dancer and choreographer Dancegod Lloyd. Scent of Africa has also released a limited-edition Royal box with the purchase of Rakh or Nefee’s 50ml Eau de Parfum in the month of March exclusively at Scentopia stores in these malls: Accra, Achimota, West Hills and Kumasi.
Since their symbolic launch on the 6th of March 2022, the duo is making waves in the luxury fragrance market in Ghana, Africa, and the world. Rakh and Nefee were recognized in September 2022 with a bronze trophy in the “Perfumes and Fragrances” category at the #Pentawards2022 – a world-leading and prestigious packaging design competition hosted in London last year. Subsequently, in October 2022, Scent of Africa exhibited at the Tax-Free World Association (TFWA) World Conference and Exhibition 2022 in Cannes, France, introducing the duo to the duty-free and travel retail world.
