The Ambassador of Spain to the State of Kuwait and Bahrain, Miguel Moro Aguilar, has announced the opening of the new premises of BLS in Kuwait, a leading service provider tasked with collecting visa applications for Spain.
According to him, Spain has long been rated as a favorite destination among Kuwaiti travellers, thus the inauguration of the new BLS office underscores Spain’s commitment to facilitating a seamless visa application process for the more than 30,000 individuals who seek entry to the country each year, SchengenVisaInfo reports.
As the local media reports, Spain registered a remarkable surge in visa applications, with over 9,000 applications received by April 2024, nearly half of which originated from Kuwaiti nationals alone. Ambassador Aguilar also revealed that Spain projects hosting between 65,000 and 80,000 Kuwaiti tourists in Malaga.
In this regard, he said that this trend hints at an anticipated bustling summer season, especially following the European Union’s approval granting a 5-year visa validity to Kuwaiti passport holders.
Spain Establishes Temporary Consular Office in Torremolinos for Kuwaiti Residents in Malaga Region
As part of its annual summer strategy, Spain announces opening a temporary consular office in Torremolinos from June to September, catering specifically to the Kuwaiti population in the Malaga area.
The Ambassador further pointed out that Spain is also known for its excellence in eye care, emphasizing that many citizens from Kuwait and other Gulf countries choose to visit Spain for medical treatment in this field.
We sincerely wish and hope that the new visa center location we open today will offer a more favorable impact on the experience offered to visa applicants to Spain. That has been the objective of the effort made by the embassy and our agent BLS, taking into consideration the growing interest and high expectations among Kuwaitis regarding our country.
