Residence authorization for Hondurans in Spain saw a 20 per cent increase, reaching 57,770 in 2023, as revealed data by the Spanish Ministry of Migration.
Data show that the increase has now placed Hondurans amongst the top nationalities, experiencing one of the highest percentage growth rates among authorised foreigners living in Spain, SchengenVisaInfo reports.
This means that the total number of Hondurans holding Spanish residence permits has now reached 156,969.
Despite the rise, it is important to note that possessing valid residence documentation does not guarantee that an individual is actually in Spain. There may be cases where individuals have left but still maintain their residence permit.
