Research commissioned by Spotify shows that 90% of Afrobeats fans agree that fusing Afrobeats with other genres has been helpful to its growth. The research, which was done for the Afrobeats: Journey of a Billion Streams site, also found out that more than 50% of fans prefer to listen to Afrobeats when it is fused with other genres.
Spotify has updated its site dedicated to propagating Afrobeats with fascinating new insights and data. The latest update dives into the fusion of Afrobeats with genres such as Amapiano, Reggae and R&B among others.
The site also has streaming hours of male vs female Afrobeats artists, a curated list of Afrofusion tracks, the most liked Afrobeats songs and most playlisted Afrobeats songs.
