The youngest son of boxing legend Chris Eubank has denied raping a woman close to Brighton Palace Pier as he prepares to face trial in September.
Joseph Eubank, 27, from Hove, East Sussex, was arrested and charged with two counts of rape of a woman over 16.
The alleged rape happened on July 16, 2022, near the famous Brighton Palace Pier.
Eubank was arrested after the victim reported being raped by a man near to the pier that evening.
The 27-year-old was released on police bail with strict conditions while a full investigation was launched.
Eubank was later charged with two counts of rape and appeared at Lewes Crown Court today. He pleaded not guilty to both counts.
The 27-year-old stood in the dock and pleaded not guilty to both counts before sitting down.
The defendant is the youngest son of former superstar boxer Chris Eubank Senior, 57, and the brother of professional boxer Chris Eubank Junior, 34.
Eubank was again released on bail with strict conditions.
Judge Christine Laing KC urged Eubank to keep in touch with his lawyers so he didn’t miss the trial.
The judge asked him: ‘Have you understood?’ Eubank replied: ‘Yes your honour.’
He is due to face trial in September.
