The government of Andorra has introduced new Youth Mobility Programs with Ireland and the Republic of Korea.
It means that the nationals of these three countries can visit each other’s territories, learn more about their culture, and explore the labour market, thus enhancing their personal and professional development, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
The initiative is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years of age and makes it easier for those who apply to obtain a residence and work permit for a maximum period of 12 months. The program allows young people to experience first-hand the life, culture and labour market of another country, thus enriching their personal and professional development.
The initiative is also aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and bring new opportunities for young people.
The launch of the initiative, with a total of 25 places available for each of the two programs, is designed to strengthen bilateral relations and open new opportunities for young people while allowing them to meet the objectives established by the Ministry to strengthen relations with countries around the world.
Youth Mobility Agreements with Other Countries
In addition to the recently launched programs with Ireland and the Republic of Korea, Andorra has three other mobility programs with Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Through a statement, the government of Andorra stressed that the youth mobility program with Iceland is in the final stages of becoming effective in the future.
The United Kingdom and Andorra reached an agreement regarding the introduction of the Youth Mobility Scheme that would become effective on January 31, 2024, and the Immigration Rules would be amended to reflect the requirements for Andorran citizens planning to travel to the UK.
Andorra’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs initiative offers an annual quota of places for each destination, permitting young nationals to work and also enjoy cultural experiences.
This is a perfect opportunity to improve language skills, meet new people, adapt to different work environments and, above all, build a rich and diverse personal and professional background.
Among other benefits that the program offers are personal growth, career development and language skills.
