6ix9ine Demands Silence Around Cops on New Track Despite Snitching Past

6ix9ine has dropped a new track, this time taking aim at snitches — and fans are scratching their heads.

On Saturday (July 15), the controversial rapper took to his Instagram where he gave fans a sneak peek at what he’s been working on in the studio.

In the preview, 6ix9ine can be heard maintaining that snitches get stitches. He raps: “If you see the cops, n-gga/ Shhhh, don’t make it hot.” This a contradictory call to action considering his reputation in the rap game as a “snitch.”

“YA MUST FORGOT WHO RUN THIS RAP GAME IN ENGLISH? [laughing emoji],” he captioned the post. “I just got to be number 1 in BOTH LANGUAGES. Let me show you this Friday what ya was missing.”

Needless to say, the track got a lukewarm reception from fans on both sides of the fence.

“N-gga u seen cops and made it hot [laughing face emoji],” commented one Instagram user. “How you gon say ‘if you see the cops [police emoji] shhh [hush emoji] don’t make it hot as a government witness’ [laughing face emoji],” posted another.

“Ya’ll need to give it to this man. RESPECT THIS MAN [bullseye emoji] REAL GUERRERO [bullseye emoji]  #TuMenTiende [diamond and fire emoji],” demanded one fan.

In 2020, 6ix9ine made headlines after he took the stand against his former friend and associate Kooda B in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods racketeering case.

The previous year Kooda B pleaded guilty to assault with a deadly weapon in aid of racketeering for his role in the 2018 shooting of Chief Keef outside the W Hotel in Times Square.

6ix9ine allegedly identified Kooda B as the triggerman in the incident after he admitted to offering him $20,000 for the hit and ended up paying Kooda B $10,000. Fortunately for Chief Keef, the incident left him unharmed.

In a recent sit-down interview with Vlad TV, Kooda (real name Kintea McKenzie) shed some light on the moment he learned the Brooklyn artist had snitched on him.

“I ain’t gon’ front, when they told me, and everything, I’m like, me, I ain’t do shit to you,” he said. “I’m solid. No cap. Anytime you call me, look out, anything. You come to my hood, you good. And so I was surprised. That shit definitely shocked me. That shit hurt my mom’s. I had him around her. That shit hurt my family.”

Kooda B was sentenced to 54 months behind bars with three years of supervised release.
